Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to DOP Journal must align with the focus, scope, and author guidelines of the journal. Submissions are required to demonstrate scientific merit, originality, and a clear contribution to knowledge. Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian; however, authors submitting in English are encouraged to have their work checked for grammar and clarity before submission. Only original works that have not been published or submitted elsewhere will be considered.

All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. Authors are strongly advised to check their manuscripts using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin) prior to submission. The editorial office will also screen all submissions with iThenticate (Crossref) to ensure originality.

Each submission undergoes a double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. Reviewers provide constructive comments to improve the quality of the manuscript. When necessary, a third reviewer may be invited to offer additional critical evaluation. Final decisions on acceptance or rejection rest with the Editor-in-Chief, who considers reviewers’ feedback along with the overall quality, thematic fit, and contribution of the manuscript.

The publication schedule of accepted papers will take into account the order of acceptance, thematic considerations, and the geographic diversity of authors.
